Reasons for applying and joining the company
I studied craftsmanship specialized in chemical engineering at a technical school, so I wanted to find a position where I can leverage the techniques and knowledge that I acquired. After entering the job hunting season and searching for a manufacturing-related company in Miyagi Prefecture (my home prefecture), I found a semiconductor company called RS Technologies and decided to join.
What are the specifics of your job?
In our daily production, we ensure steady production, and if there is a reduction in the acceptance rate of a work-in-progress, we investigate its causes. The causes can sometimes be identified from the measurement data, but we also sometimes have to actually inspect the onsite equipment. We also conduct daily tests to improve quality. I cooperate with the onsite personnel in conducting the actual work, but I try to do the preparations, data aggregation and analysis, and planning the next steps by myself.
Please describe the appeal of your work, your sense of accomplishment, and future goals
When I first joined, I was always anxious due to not knowing anything about silicon wafer reclamation, but I’ve gradually became more knowledgeable through the support of my senior colleagues. I also feel that I’m able to grow every day through this job of conducting investigations and research from various perspectives in improving our quality. My goal is to proactively do everything that I can to improve my skills.
