Initiatives to Produce Eco-friendly Products
To contribute to the environmental activities of customers to whom we offer our products and services, we work to produce eco-friendly products.
Reclaimed Wafers
Semiconductor manufacturers use monitor wafers and dummy wafers for testing in the process of manufacturing semiconductors and for trial processing. Those wafers can be used for the same purpose again after precision reclaim. Such recycled wafers are called reclaimed wafers.
Using reclaimed wafers makes it possible to reduce the use of brand-new wafers and the energy consumed to manufacture brand-new wafers. Reclaimed wafers are thus eco-friendly products.
Compared to a brand-new wafer, manufacturing reclaimed wafers emits only one ninth of CO2 emissions. Reclaimed wafers therefore significantly contribute to the reduction of CO2 emissions.
